AI skills mentioned in these roles

These are specific ways employers describe using or building with AI. We count a capability only when the listing ties it to work or experience; an employer merely selling an AI product is not enough. A signal needs mentions from at least three roles and three employers before we treat it as a ranked skill.

Other skills in job descriptions and qualifications

The sentences below summarize work described in matching listings; they do not apply to every role. A role counts once for a skill even if its text mentions it several times. Percentages use the 28 roles with substantive role descriptions or qualifications as the denominator. Mentions can describe responsibilities, required experience or preferred experience.

Dated observations

We preserve dated captures so future readers can inspect the same skill definitions over time. Each capture describes visible inventory at its capture time, not all jobs posted during that month.

One comparable capture is available so far. We will show a side-by-side observation once two captures using the same definitions are at least four weeks apart.

How to read these descriptions

The summaries describe work named in the sampled listings. Open the linked roles for the employer’s full wording and to see whether a skill is a core responsibility, required experience, or a preference. The same skill can mean different work in different teams.

A mention is not proof that a skill is mandatory, that candidates without it are excluded, or that demand is rising across the wider labor market. The directory is a selected sample of employers. We do not yet label skills “rising” because the older skills history used a different classification method.
